About Us

Roberts Printing was established in 1908 by Mr. Roberts, and in 1956 the company was bought by Mr. Jan Goedschalk, a master printer. After substantial investment he was able to turn the company’s fate around and brought it to an established self-sustaining entity.

Mr Goeschalk’s daughter Florence and her husband Andrew Richardson proceeded to buy the company from him.

Roberts Printing has been the source of stable income for about a dozen families for the last sixty years and its staff boast an average of fifteen years of experience in the printing industry.

In 2000 we started our PVC card manufacturing, CARDABILITY, and maintain the high ISO standards. We believe the future will herald ongoing growth creating more equal employment opportunities.

Meet the Members

Florence Richardson

This passionate and inspirational woman has been in the printing industry for over 40 years. A true matriarch in the family business, her determination and discipline took the company from strength to strength. Flo’s vision for what she built and insight expanded to the point of manufacturing of PVC cards. Without her, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

Andrew Richardson

From a qualified electrician to printing, this resourceful man was invited to join the printing company by his wife, Florence. His ability to pin point issues, problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking and task management skills are beyond comparison. Attention to detail and extensive hardware knowledge have saved many organisations time and time again, not to mention the cost.

Matthew Richardson

Having grown up in the factory and helping during school holidays, he stepped into the business straight after matric. Matthew learnt from the ground up the finer techniques and the correct skills in an industry where true trademanship is seldom found in these times. He may be young in age, but has experience way beyond his years.
